As an entrepreneur himself, Erik co-founded a brand in 2010 in the venture and media space of the Fashion and Fashion Tech arena called FashInvest. The brand was acquired in 2017 by WWD/Penske Media, the largest trade journal in the Industry. Since 2018, he has also sat as the Chairman of the Board for the Macy's Philadelphia Fashion Incubator recently rebranded as simply The Philadelphia Fashion Incubator.
